Overview
This qualification is designed for assessing occupational competence in workplaces and vocational skills in other settings like workshops or classrooms. It encompasses diverse assessment methods, such as simulated environments, skills tests, oral/written questions, assignments, projects, case studies, and recognising prior learning.
This qualification Replaces A1 qualifications, Part of the new suite of qualifications for assessors and internal quality assurers (IQA). It requires completion of 3 mandatory units totalling 15 credits for the NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement (RQF).
Modules
Unit 1: Understanding Principles and Practices of Assessment (3 credits) - Evaluates the assessor candidate's knowledge of assessment principles and practices.
Unit 2: Assess Occupational Competence in the Work Environment (6 credits) - Assesses a practitioner's ability to evaluate occupational competence using various assessment methods, including observation, questioning, discussions, and recognising prior learning.
Unit 3: Assess Vocational Skills, Knowledge and Understanding (F/601/5319) - 6 credit - The aim of this unit is to assess the candidate assessor’s performance in assessing vocational skills, knowledge and understanding in environments other than the workplace – for example workshops, classrooms or other training environments
Entry Requirements
• Hold an award/certificate/ diploma in relevant studies or management
• Hold an equivalent professional qualification from a recognised institution
• Mature students with a minimum of two years of relevant work experience may be considered.
• UK Versity will assess the level of English language proficiency if it is not your native language
Progressions
Learners who achieve this qualification could progress into employment as an assessor or onto to relevant qualifications such as Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

The Diploma is issued by the NCFE -Awarding Organisation. UK Versity Online Limited ( Number - 8465520) is an accredited and approved delivery center for NCFE qualifications.
